Building Community: Early Onset GI Cancer Connections

Ruesch Center at Wizards Game

What a lovely evening with the Ruesch Center at Capital One Arena—cheering on the Wizards and coming together for GI cancer advocacy and community; we’re grateful to have shared time that raised awareness and connection. This event was made possible by the Wyatt N. Smith Fund, honoring Wyatt’s commitment to peer support and community for young adults with GI cancers—his story raised awareness, and his legacy continues to guide our work.

Peer Connections for Early Onset GI and Esophageal Patients

In partnership with Smith Center, our peer mentor support program continues to provide meaningful help to GI cancer patients; one mentee said the support fully met their expectations, that hearing from someone after surgery was especially valuable, and that they would recommend the program to others.
